Elderly medical care and child care in Taiwan’s outlying islands
Taiwan's outlying island areas have inconvenient transportation due to their remote location. The population of young adults has migrated out, resulting in local elders and young children being unable to receive proper care.
In order to help improve the care situation of local elders and children in Lanyu, and improve the medical and educational standards, the Ching Pao P.D. Foundation subsidizes the Lanyu Home Care Association to replace and purchase medical equipment and the Hope Therapy Garden ( Elderly day care center) construction. The Ching Pao P.D. Foundation also subsidizes the LanAn Cultural and Educational Foundation’s after-school care center construction and operating funds, providing students with academic guidance, skill learning, and nutritious meals after school to help their healthy development.
